Many of our prospective students wonder if distance learning is right for them. Rest assured, a distance education format works very much like a traditional on-campus program. A detailed syllabus provides a guide to each week's studies. You study from textbooks used by the experts in pharmacy practice today. You receive DVDs and CDs by mail, which contain up-to-date lectures relevant to today's challenges. Your virtual classroom will provide additional content and serve as a forum for discussion and exchange of best practices among your peers, facilitators, and faculty. You watch the lectures and review the content as much as you like. Finally, through the convenience of technology you receive exams and homework assignments that you take or submit online.

You can contact technical support, your professional facilitator, the Program Manager, and other students throughout the program, so you are never alone. Students who graduate from University of Florida's WPPD program through the distance learning format receive the same prestigious degree as students who attend the campus-based Pharm.D. program. Your Doctor of Pharmacy credential will be no different than that of an on-campus graduate. Graduates and employers have full confidence in the reputation of the University of Florida and its highly ranked online pharmacy school.
Although participation in graduation ceremonies is not required to receive your Pharm.D. degree, we encourage you to plan to celebrate commencement with your classmates, faculty and staff of the College of Pharmacy at University of Florida.
